Job Responsibilities

Lead the execution of key initiatives including large-scale projects. This role is responsible for leading & driving project members, managing scope, timelines, resources, and risks, ensuring alignment with business priorities. It also involves coordinating stakeholders, ensuring governance compliance, and driving continuous improvement to optimize project efficiency and ensure successful outcomes.

Project Execution Management
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major initiatives. Ensure projects are executed in alignment with organizational goals, maintaining a clear focus on strategic priorities and deliverables.
Scope, Timeline, and Budget Management
• Define and manage project scope, track milestones, and control budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Proactively identify potential delays or cost overruns and implement corrective actions as necessary to stay on course.

Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among business units, IT teams, senior management, and external vendors. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned, informed, and engaged throughout the project lifecycle, fostering a unified approach to achieving project goals.

Risk and Issue Management
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines, budgets, or outcomes. Lead the resolution of issues, applying problem-solving strategies and ensuring proactive measures are taken to minimize negative impacts.

Governance and Compliance Oversight
• Ensure all project activities adhere to relevant IT governance frameworks and regulatory requirements, including compliance with MAS guidelines. Maintain high standards of governance throughout the project, ensuring regulatory and internal controls are met.

Project Performance and Reporting
• Provide regular, detailed updates to senior stakeholders on project progress, risks, and overall performance. Utilize clear metrics and data to assess project health and inform decision-making, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of IT project management experience, preferably in financial services industry.
• Proven experience managing large-scale projects, including technology refresh and system renewal initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks, particularly in a regulated environment (e.g., MAS TRM).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills to coordinate with business units, IT teams, and external vendors effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to anticipate and mitigate risks and resolve complex project issues.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, resources, and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive project outcomes and influence stakeholders.
• Strong Japanese proficiency preferred to communicate with stakeholders based in Head Office (Tokyo)
