As we continue our rapid growth in Asia, we are seeking a strong operational leader to drive manufacturing excellence across our Southeast Asia operations.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Operations will lead and oversee the end-to-end operations of C-Hawk’s manufacturing facilities in Malaysia (Johor Bahru) and Singapore. This role is focused on driving operational efficiency, Site level quality, supply chain resilience, customer engagement and organizational performance to support the company’s growth strategy, Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, full P&L management. This role requires a seasoned operations executive with deep experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume precision manufacturing, specifically for the semiconductor equipment industry.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Leadership

  • Oversee all manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain (dotted line), and facilities management functions across the Malaysia and Singapore plants.

  • Ensure on-time delivery, high-quality standards, and cost-effective production in alignment with customer and corporate expectations.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with global business objectives and local market needs.

  • Identify and drive factory capacity expansion, automation, and process optimization opportunities.

  • Support new product introductions (NPIs) and technology transfers from other global sites.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams across both sites.

  • Mentor and develop operations leaders and technical staff to strengthen organizational capability.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and innovation.

Supply Chain & Vendor Management (dotted line)

  • Ensure robust supply chain planning and execution, including procurement, inventory management, and supplier performance.

  • Collaborate closely with global sourcing and logistics teams to align supply strategies with company goals.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate standards, environmental policies, and industry certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).

  • Manage operational risks and ensure business continuity planning is in place.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, sales, product management, finance, and executive leadership to align operations with overall business objectives.

  • Serve as a key member of the global operations leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide decision-making.

P&L Management

  • Full accountability for regional financial performance, including revenue, cost control, and margin improvement.

  • Strategic oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Continuous identification of growth and efficiency opportunities to drive bottom-line performance.

Site-Level Quality and Safety

  • Ensure all operations adhere to corporate and regulatory safety standards across multiple facilities.

  • Lead quality assurance programs to drive consistent product/service standards.

  • Promote a zero-harm culture and drive EHS improvements to strengthen safety and compliance

  • Implement operational KPIs and conduct regular audits and compliance checks.

Customer Engagement

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and business expansion.

  • Act as an escalation point for major service or delivery issues.

  • Align operations with customer expectations and contractual commitments.

  • Collaborate with Sales teams to support solution development and ensure operational readiness for new business.

Other Duties

  • The abovementioned duties and responsibilities may change from time to time.

  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks/projects as and when assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in semiconductor equipment or high-precision capital equipment.

  • Proven success leading multi-site operations, ideally across Malaysia and Singapore or similar regions.

  • Strong background in lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and factory automation.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational development skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a strong advantage.

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Malay or Mandarin is a plus.
