Job description

Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and aim to delight our business partners through various banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of CDN (Content Delivery Network) setup, gathering requirements, customizing product offerings, and providing solutions.
  • Design, architecture, and solution development for CDN initiatives, aligning with central Architecture teams for review and approval.
  • Configure CDN routing rules, cache settings, headers, and security-related configurations.
  • Manage origin CERT pinning, domain certificate creation, and deployment on CDN.
  • Serve as the point of contact for DBS contracts related to CDN implementation and resolve technical issues, collaborating with CDN/WAF customer care or professional services.
  • Lead project teams to ensure successful project outcomes, coordinating with technical project managers and CDN solution engineers.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and implementation of CDN activities within projects.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to set expectations, manage scope and risks, communicate project status, and ensure business objectives are met.
  • Own the technical components of CDN integration, including configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, and support during go-live, involving CDN professional services.
  • Partner with CDN support teams (Akamai, Cloudflare) to resolve issues during and after integration.
  • Ensure scope is implemented within timelines and quality standards.
  • Support the design and development of automation processes for DevOps activities.
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies within SLAs.
  • Review CDN configurations with vendor engineers to ensure quality and compliance with requirements.
  • Build strong relationships and influence team actions positively, working collaboratively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, math, engineering, or related field, with practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience with CDN providers like Akamai, Cloudflare, or similar.
  • Knowledge of CDN architecture, Web Application Firewall (WAF) concepts, and technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment for CDN using tools like Terraform.
  • Certifications in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure are advantageous.
  • Scripting skills in JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, especially for serverless solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and business audiences.
  • Knowledge of security standards (OWASP, CISSP advantageous).
  • Deep understanding of OSI model, HTTP protocols, network configurations, and security protocols like SSL/TLS.
  • Experience with UNIX, scripting languages, virtualization, and cloud services (AWS EC2, S3, ELB, ALB).
