We are seeking a high-caliber professional for the role of Vice President, Global Network Banking.

Principal Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of Global Network Banking (GNB) clients, acquiring, retaining, and growing customer relationships for HSBC. Ensure adherence to Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices. Maximize the value of these relationships internationally by collaborating with group offices and product partners.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with target customers aligned with GNB’s strategy to be the Leading International Trade and Business Bank.
  • Grow sustainable revenues from the existing portfolio and through targeted acquisition of new quality customers.
  • Implement proactive relationship-building and customer contact plans, managing pipelines for existing and new customers to deepen wallet share.
  • Generate quality assets using appropriate risk management tools, ensuring pricing reflects risk and returns are optimized within the customer’s risk appetite.
  • Structure credit facilities to balance customer and HSBC interests, remaining within prudent banking practices, and driving growth in liabilities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate deal pipelines, generate referrals for other Global Businesses, and ensure timely customer information updates on systems.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for group products and services, ensuring successful closures for the bank and customer, and stay informed about external factors affecting international business.
  • Monitor client portfolios regularly to ensure risk-appropriate returns, taking corrective actions proactively to mitigate losses and maximize profitability.
