Job summary

IPI Technolab is seeking a senior engineering leader to define and drive the company's technology roadmap. The role leads global engineering teams, aligning product goals with scalable, secure platforms and high-quality delivery.

You will collaborate with executive stakeholders to translate business priorities into engineering initiatives, overseeing architecture and modernization efforts across cloud-based systems.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company's engineering strategy and technology roadmap in alignment with overall business and product goals.
• Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across multiple functions, products, and geographies.
• Build and manage a strong leadership layer, including Engineering Managers, Directors, and Senior Technical Leaders.
• Own engineering execution, ensuring predictable delivery of high-quality, scalable, secure, and reliable products.
• Partner closely with CEO, CTO, Product, Design, Sales, and other executive stakeholders to translate business priorities into engineering initiatives.
• Drive architecture and technology decisions for highly scalable and maintainable systems.
• Establish engineering standards covering software development, architecture, testing, DevOps, security, observability, and reliability.
• Improve engineering productivity, development velocity, release processes, and operational excellence.
• Own engineering headcount planning, hiring strategy, organizational design, and budget management.
• Develop and retain engineering talent through coaching, career development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Establish and monitor engineering KPIs, including delivery predictability, system reliability, quality, productivity, and team health.
• Lead major technology transformations, modernization initiatives, and migration to cloud or distributed architectures where appropriate.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 7 to 12 years of experience in software engineering, technology, or related technical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading large, high-performing engineering organizations and preferably managing Engineering Managers or senior technical leaders.
• Proven track record of progressing from Senior Engineer/Tech Lead Engineering Manager/Director VP-level leadership, or equivalent scope of responsibility.
• Strong background in software architecture, distributed systems, cloud platforms, APIs, databases, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams across multiple products, functions, or geographies.
• Strong understanding of product development, Agile methodologies, engineering operations, and technology strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to connect engineering decisions with revenue, customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth.
• Experience working in high-growth startups, SaaS, fintech, enterprise technology, or other technology-driven organizations is highly desirable.
• Exposure to AI/ML, generative AI, and AI-powered engineering/product development is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
