Department Overview

Nomura\'s Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. We have taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our talent, client relationships and technology.

Role and Responsibilities

Client relationship management with a digital focus

  • The eFX salesperson plays a vital role in managing and expanding client relationships to achieve relevance, revenue and market share goals
  • Prospecting for new clients, sell/present Nomura’s eFX capabilities and liquidity (including origination and onboarding)
  • Advise clients on architecture, connectivity, and execution strategies—while positioning Nomura as a preferred liquidity provider in their evolving electronic ecosystems.
  • Perform regular client reviews and visits with pro-active follow up to share detailed insights into performance metrics

Data-driven execution advisory and revenue generation

  • Ability to leverage data to enhance client outcomes and trading revenue across products
  • working with trading to discuss and optimize clients franchise

Internal Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Close interaction, coordination and collaboration with corporate function and technology teams to help maintain and troubleshoot.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities with other sales teams across Nomura

External and vendor relationship management

  • Perform regular vendor reviews to gain key insights
  • Represent Nomura at conferences and industry presentations

Product innovation

  • To always identify, scope and develop product development ideas to enhance Nomura’s eCommerce offerings
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in voice or electronic FX sales in financial markets
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience covering regional banks or corporate clients
