About The Job

Natixis CIB Asia is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Marketer for our growing Commodities Sales team. The position is based in Singapore and will focus on developing and servicing clients across the Commodities product lines, with particular focus on the Energy sector, spanning the entire supply chain from producers to consumers. This is a Vice President/Director level role.

Reporting Line

Reports to Head of Commodities Sales & Structuring, APAC.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by leveraging existing corporate customer relationships while actively pursuing new client opportunities.
  • Identify client needs in commodity risk management, pitch our full suite of commodities products and solutions and develop both vanilla derivative flow and structured deals.
  • Liaise closely with Structuring, Trading, Business Management, Legal, Tax, Compliance and other internal functions to price and structure any non-vanilla deals and get transaction approvals as needed. Deals could include strategic hedging from a financing transaction, hedge restructures, prepays, investment structures with commodity underlying and inventory monetization structures.
  • Identify new products and opportunities for Asian clients and work with the global Business Development, Structuring and Trading teams to develop the product.
  • Have a strong understanding of the risks of different structures and risk mitigation strategies. Work with the Risk teams to ensure internal risk stakeholders are comfortable with the deal.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum 8-12 years’ experience in the commodities sector, with at least 5 years commodity sales/trading/structuring experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Experience with Energy and/or Metals products as well as a comprehensive understanding of financial instruments such as swaps and options.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality products and execution in a professional and timely manner, adhering to defined procedures and internal policies.
  • High sense of responsibility, strong resilience, excellent business acumen with strong communication, negotiation and management skills.
  • Self-driven and results oriented.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mind set.
  • Strong command of English. Additional languages like Mandarin, Korean or Japanese will be a plus.
