We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Business Development.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Grow the market share of Issuer Services (“ISV”) products within an assigned client portfolio and contribute significantly towards achieving ISV’s Singapore Sales Targets. The key ISV products are Loan Agency and Escrow
  • Develop and maintain both internal stakeholders and external intermediaries/clients to expand the ISV business relationships, develop a significant deal pipeline and increase ISV market share
  • Grow the Escrow and Loan Agency market share across ASEAN Markets and drive the complex structured deals and increase ISV margins/ revenues in line with ISV risk levels
  • Pitch, negotiate ISV pricing and engage in deal structuring/origination from ISV perspective
  • Collaborate closely with the ISV Sales team to increase ISV visibility, market share and drive cross border collaboration in line with HSBC strategy
  • Identify potential ISV opportunities for new structures within existing products and actively contribute to development and implementation of ISV sales strategies and structures
  • At all times work proactively and collaboratively with clients, ISV team and internal/external stakeholders to ensure a smooth and high standard of service

Qualifications

To be successful you will need

  • Client focused skills with a proactive attitude and the ability to build and maintain material relationships with clients, internal stakeholders and market intermediaries
  • A candidate with strong relationship management or credit experience and understanding of banking systems is desirable
  • A candidate with sales experience and proven consistent ISV sales track record is an added advantage
  • Self-starter, who is capable of build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and market intermediaries to ensure continuous referral of new business
  • Strong negotiation skills would be required in this role and a strong team player to work efficiently and contribute effectively with wider team and with internal stakeholders
  • Able to occasionally travel for work
