We are seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President User Experience to join our APAC Innovation team. This role is located in
Singapore (Hybrid).
About The Job
Innovation is a core part of the Strategic Partnerships, Investments & Innovation team, bringing together diverse innovators, strategists, and designers. With a presence in New York, London, and Singapore, the Innovation team drives value chain mapping, product strategy, ideation, design, and solution adoption using agile methodologies to accelerate value creation for clients and the enterprise.
As a
UX/Service Designer, you will shape end-to-end service experiences for stakeholders and clients in the
APAC region. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, UX/UI designers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders—to design and deliver holistic service solutions. Your expertise in user-centered design, research, and strategic thinking will help us create innovative solutions aligned with user needs and business goals.
Your impact will include:
- Leading design thinking workshops and ideation sessions to foster creative problem-solving, generate ideas, and build consensus among teams and stakeholders.
- Using user journey and experience mapping to visualize interactions, identify pain points, discover opportunities, and propose solutions to enhance satisfaction and engagement.
- Developing personas, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows, iterating based on feedback and usability testing.
- Partnering with stakeholders, product managers, and developers to understand and define user needs and project requirements.
- Creating and maintaining design guidelines, pattern libraries, and cohesive design systems consistent with BNY’s principles.
- Conducting user research, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and analyzing feedback to refine user experiences.
- Staying updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to bring innovative ideas to the team.
To succeed, you should have:
- Relevant experience in global financial services or fintech as a UX/Service Designer with a strong portfolio.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop structured solutions that meet client needs.
- Proficiency in user journey mapping, design thinking, and facilitating ideation workshops.
- Solid understanding of user-centered and service design principles.
- Experience with user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions.
- Visual design skills and understanding of user experience.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Miro, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts clearly.
- A solutions-oriented approach and ability to build trust with stakeholders and peers.
