Job summary
A leading ship management company is looking for a Marine Assurance Vetting Specialist in Singapore. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with inspection standards, conduct audits, and provide training to staff. A Class 1 or Class 2 COC is preferred, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience in vetting within the marine industry.
Qualifications
- Must have sailed on Crude oil, CPP, Annex 2 cargoes, Container vessels, car carriers.
- At least 5 years of experience in vetting or quality assurance.
- Sound knowledge of OCIMF/SIRE and TMSA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure vessels comply with Oil Majors, CDI, SIRE 2.0, RightShip, and other inspection requirements.
- Liaise with ship staff, superintendents, and charterers to coordinate inspections and close vetting observations effectively.
- Conduct internal vetting audits and provide training/briefings to crew and shore staff.
- Maintain updated vetting records, prepare reports, and monitor trends.
- Develop and implement processes to improve inspection performance.
Requirements:
- COC Class 1 or Class 2 preferred (Deck or Engine).
- Must have sailed on Crude oii, CPP, Annex 2 cargoes, Container vessels, car carriers.
- Must have prepared vessel for 3rd party inspection/ carrying out 3rd party inspections such as pre-vetting/ Navigational Audits/ On board trainings
- At least 5 years of experience in vetting, marine assurance, or quality assurance within a ship management company, preferably with chemical or product tankers.
- Sound knowledge of OCIMF/SIRE and TMSA guidelines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
