A leading veterinary clinic is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Nurse to ensure high-quality care for animals. The role involves patient assistance, clinical support, client interaction, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a passion for animal well-being and preferably some qualifications in veterinary nursing.
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our team. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients while supporting the veterinary team and ensuring smooth daily operations at the clinic.
Key responsibilities:
1) Patient Care : Assists in handling and restraining animals during consultations and treatments. Monitor and provide basic care to hospitalized patients, including feeding, cleaning and ensuring comfort. Administer medications as directed by the veterinarians.
2) Clinical Assistance : Prepare and maintain surgical and treatment areas. Assist veterinarians during surgeries, dental procedures and diagnostic tests. Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
3) Client Interaction : Provide clients with basic advice on animal care, nutrition and post-treatment instructions. Assist in scheduling appointments and follow-ups. Handle client inquiries and ensure excellent service delivery.
4) Administrative Support : Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment logs. Manage clinic supplies and ensure timely stock replenishment. Handle administrative tasks such as invoicing, filing and support Head Nurse as and when required.
5) Hygiene and Safety : Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic, including treatment rooms and kennel areas. Follow safety protocols for handling animal and medical waste.
Requirements:
Passion for animals and their well-being
Basic understanding of animal care or veterinary practices (training will be provided)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn, collaborative and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a veterinary or animal environment is a plus
Min. N/O levels certificate
Certificate or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or a related field (not mandatory but recommended)
Prior experience in using Xero software is a plus
Working Hours (shift work, 34-40 hours/week):
Mon to Thurs : 9.45 am to 9.45 pm
Fri-Sun, PH : 9.45 am to 5 pm
