Job summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare hire and freight invoices for Bareboat Charters, Time Charters (In/Out), and Voyage Charter agreements.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department to monitor and ensure timely collection of hire and freight payments.
- Prepare, reconcile, and finalize Post-Fixture Hire Statements (PFHS), Fixture Hire Statements (FHS), and freight balances with vessel owners and charterers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date hire records, supporting the preparation of weekly and monthly Profit & Loss reports.
- Communicate with port agents to obtain and verify estimated Port Disbursement Accounts (PDAs).
- Review and approve final PDAs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with charter party terms.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to arrange pre-funding and settlement of PDA payments.
- Calculate and process demurrage and despatch settlements for voyage charter operations in accordance with contractual terms.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Preferably 1–3 years of relevant experience in a dry bulk shipping company, chartering, or commercial operations.
- Familiarity with shipping contracts, charter party terms, and port operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with maritime software such as IMOS or Danaos is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of numerical accuracy and analytical ability.
- Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
