Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Vending Machine Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of vending machines across designated routes and maintain production machines.

Crucially, the ideal candidate must possess their own reliable motorcycle and a valid motorcycle license for efficient travel between service locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Setup: Install new vending machines, including power connections, product loading, and basic programming, at various client sites.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on existing vending machines to ensure optimal performance, cleanliness, and longevity. This includes cleaning components, checking coin mechanisms, bill validators, and dispensing systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vending machines. This includes troubleshooting coin jams, bill acceptor malfunctions, refrigeration problems, and dispensing errors.
  • On-Site Servicing: Respond promptly to service calls, providing efficient and effective on-site repairs to minimize machine downtime.
  • Parts Management: Identify and replace faulty parts, maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts in the service vehicle/storage, and order replacements as needed.
  • Product Loading & Merchandising (as required): Occasionally assist with loading products and ensuring machines are merchandised attractively.
  • Route Optimization: Plan and execute daily service routes efficiently using their own motorcycle to maximize productivity and minimize travel time.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent, utilizing mobile service applications or physical logs.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties, especially concerning electrical work and safe operation of tools.

REQUIRED: Valid motorcycle license and reliable, well-maintained own motorcycle for daily work travel.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
