in Singapore’s Deals Transaction Services Valuations practice offers a role valuing mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and capital markets through data-driven insights to maximize deal value. You will research financial risks, forecast analysis, and build valuation models, while leading and mentoring associates and collaborating with partners to win new work and deliver credible valuation advice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Business, or professional accounting qualification.
• 6–10 years of relevant valuation experience.
• Financial modelling skills; build models from scratch.
• Demonstrated problem solving and project delivery.
• Valuation experience in professional services is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; leadership experience.
• Strong client management; credible in client conversations.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent valuations for businesses, tangible and intangible assets and financial instruments including equity and debt securities, derivatives and options.
• Produce and analyse financial models and assess the data underlying financial forecasts.
• Lead in pitching for new work, including proposals preparation and presentation.
• Build and maintain client relationships before, during and after engagements.
• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on valuation services.
• Collaborate with Partners and staff on client management and business development.

How will you value-add?

• Performing independent valuations for businesses, tangible and intangible assets and financial instruments including equity and debt securities, derivatives and options, for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, financial reporting and restructuring

• Producing and analysing financial models and assessing commercial data which underlie financial forecasts

• Leading in pitching for new work, including the preparation and presentation of proposals

• Building and maintaining client relationships before, during and after engagements

• Supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on valuation and valuation-related services

• Working closely with Partners and staff on client management, practice development and business development activities

About you

• Possesses a Degree in Accounting or Business equivalent from a recognised university, or Professional Accounting qualification(s)

• 6 to 10 years of relevant working experience preferably with related Business Valuation experience.

• Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch.

• Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.

• Previous valuation experience in professional services will be advantageous

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in leading a team.

• Good client management skills, authoritative and credible in a client conversation - both in terms of personal style and subject matter expertise.
