Job summary

WS Audiology is seeking a Validation Test Specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute validation studies with hearing aid wearers and professionals in a global setting.

You will guide participants through study activities, ensure protocols are followed, and maintain thorough documentation while collaborating with Validation Program Managers and study partners across markets.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in validation studies, coordination, or participant-facing activities.
• Experience coordinating studies, user research, or clinical investigations.
• Strong English communication, written and spoken; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate day-to-day execution of validation studies with wearers and professionals.
• Translate protocols into practical execution plans including schedules, staffing, facilities and materials.
• Recruit, screen, schedule, and support study participants in accordance with requirements.
• Prepare study sites, equipment and materials before activities.
• Conduct study sessions, document observations, and ensure protocol adherence.
• Coordinate with program managers, partners and markets throughout preparation and execution.
• Maintain complete study documentation and data-handling records.
• Monitor progress, participant status, data completeness, and escalate issues as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of study operations and templates.

Job description

As a Validation Test Specialist, you will combine hands-on, participant-facing study execution with the planning and coordination required to deliver successful validation studies. You will administer study protocols, guide participants through study activities, coordinate global study operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and study partners to ensure a professional participant experience and reliable, well-documented study delivery.

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate the day-to-day execution of validation studies involving hearing aid wearers and hearing care professionals.

• Translate study protocols and program plans into practical execution plans, including participant schedules, staffing, facilities, equipment, test materials, and other logistical requirements.

• Recruit, screen, schedule, and support study participants in accordance with the applicable study requirements and processes.

• Prepare study sites, products, equipment, and materials, ensuring that all operational prerequisites are in place before study activities begin.

• Conduct study sessions with hearing aid wearers and hearing care professionals, administering study protocols, guiding participants through planned activities, documenting observations, and ensuring that study procedures are followed consistently.

• Coordinate closely with Validation Program Managers, study partners, participating markets, and relevant technical and functional stakeholders throughout study preparation and execution.

• Maintain complete, accurate, and traceable study documentation, including participant records, study materials, execution records, data-collection documentation, and study close-out files.

• Monitor study progress, participant status, data completeness, and operational issues or risks across concurrent studies, and provide timely updates and escalations to the responsible Validation Program Manager.

• Ensure that study data are collected, handled, documented, and transferred in accordance with the applicable study processes and data-handling requirements.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of study operations, templates, working methods, participant experience, and execution quality.

What you bring

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• A relevant degree, professional qualification, or comparable practical experience in a field related to healthcare, audiology, life sciences, user research, or study coordination.

• Practical experience in coordinating or conducting studies, user research, clinical investigations, usability evaluations, product testing, or comparable participant-facing activities.

• Experience recruiting, scheduling, and supporting study participants, preferably in a healthcare, medical-device, consumer-electronics, or customer-research environment.

• Familiarity with structured study execution, protocol adherence, accurate data collection, and controlled documentation.

• Experience coordinating operational details across participants, internal stakeholders, external partners, facilities, products, and timelines.

• Strong written and spoken English. Additional languages are an advantage in a global study environment.

• Experience with hearing aids, audiology, hearing care workflows, medical devices, or regulated product development is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
