Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated Utilities and Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain plant utility systems in a specialty chemicals manufacturing environment. The role focuses on keeping boiler, WWTP, RO, chiller, cooling tower and compressor systems running reliably and safely.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor key operating parameters, and support production equipment while working in a rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency, Class 2 or above is required.
• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical or a related discipline.
• Experience in utilities or plant maintenance, ideally in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of WWTP, RO, chiller and compressor systems.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts.
• Reliable and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and maintain boiler steam generation system
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant and odour containment scrubber
• Maintain reverse osmosis water, chiller, cooling tower and chilled water systems
• Maintain air compressor and nitrogen distribution systems
• Support production equipment such as spray dryers, blenders and mixing tanks
• Carry out chemical top-ups, waste residue removal and replacement of spent solutions
• Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections
• Conduct functional checks and monitor key operating parameters
• Keep accurate operating and maintenance records; identify early signs of wear or malfunction
