Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Utilities Engineer to own and optimize critical utility systems in a GMP manufacturing setting. You will manage RO, WFI, clean steam, and related utilities, driving change controls, investigations, and reliability projects.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and cross‑functional teams to ensure systems remain compliant and capable of manufacturing requirements. Singapore-based, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4–10 years of relevant engineering experience in utilities, facilities, manufacturing, or related environment.
• Hands-on experience with Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems.
• GMP-regulated environment experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and technical support for critical utilities including RO, WFI, clean steam, and related systems.
• Own utility-related change controls from planning to closure.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, reliability, and performance of critical utility equipment.
• Lead investigations into utility deviations and events using TrackWise with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis of issues.
• Establish corrective and preventive actions with stakeholders for effective resolutions.
• Support utility engineering projects from planning to implementation.
• Ensure solutions meet GMP and engineering requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, performance, and compliance.
• Monitor critical utility systems to keep them in control and compliant.

Take Ownership of Critical Utilities in a GMP Manufacturing Environment

Are you an experiencedUtilities Engineerwith strong hands‑on knowledge ofReverse Osmosis (RO), Water for Injection (WFI), clean steam, and critical utility systems?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of essential utility infrastructure within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining system reliability, supporting technical investigations, managing engineering changes, and delivering improvement projects that strengthen operational performance and compliance.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and cross‑functional stakeholders, you’ll provide technical expertise to ensure critical utility systems remain reliable, controlled, and fit for manufacturing requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide engineering oversight and technical support for critical utilities, includingRO, WFI, clean steam, and associated clean utility systems.

• Take ownership of utility‑related change controls covering system installation, modification, enhancement, and upgrades.

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, reliability, and performance of critical utility equipment.

• Lead and support investigations into utility deviations and events using TrackWise, ensuring appropriate documentation and timely closure.

• Conduct troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for equipment failures, system abnormalities, and recurring technical issues.

• Work with relevant stakeholders to establish corrective and preventive actions and drive effective resolution.

• Support utility engineering projects from planning and specification through implementation.

• Ensure technical solutions and project activities meet applicable GMP and engineering requirements.

• Identify opportunities to enhance system reliability, operational efficiency, performance, and compliance.

• Monitor critical utility systems to ensure they remain in a state of control and aligned with site engineering standards and regulatory expectations.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 4–10 years of relevant engineering experiencein utilities, facilities, manufacturing, or a related environment.

• Hands‑on experience with Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems is essential.

• Practical knowledge ofWFI, clean steam, and other critical/clean utility systems.

• Strong understanding of utility equipment operation, maintenance, reliability, and troubleshooting.

• Previous experience in aGMP‑regulated environment is essential. Pharmaceutical industry experience is not mandatory.

• Strong analytical and root‑cause analysis capabilities, with experience handling technical investigations.

• Experience managingchange controls, engineering projects, and technical investigationsindependently.

• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
