Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and safe operations of the facility, including steam system and auxiliaries operations.
- Monitor the operating status of the plant by observing control system parameters, BMS, and distributed control systems, including steam system and auxiliaries.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant, stations, or subsystems and equipment to ensure normal and safe operating conditions.
- Supervise and lead boiler and plant operators to operate treatment processes according to process parameters and emission limits.
- Identify plant optimization points and support the implementation of approved tasks by the site manager.
- Develop, propose, and implement Standard Operating Procedures for plant operations and maintenance, with support from the operations and maintenance team.
- Analyze, interpret, and report on steam operations data and plant performance periodically.
- Address plant process upsets and equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Maintain logs of maintenance activities and repair procedures using the CMMS to ensure safe equipment operation.
- Inspect facilities for hazards such as leaks, corrosion, or extreme temperatures.
- Monitor steam pressure and temperature levels to ensure safe operation.
- Consult with management to improve process efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Manage and ensure compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the site manager.
Requirements
- Class 2 Steam Engineer registered with MOM/Singapore Polytechnic
- Familiar with FMEA, HAZOP, and Job Hazard Analysis methodologies
- Good interpersonal, management, and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative skills
- Registered First-Aider Certification is an advantage
- Possess a good safety mindset and demonstrate good WSH behavior
