Job description

[US MNC] 1 Yr Contract Food Chemist / Analyst (Must have Strong Exp in ICP MS) Up 5K #HJC

We are looking for an Associate Chemist (contract position) to carry out testing of samples with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring adherence to procedures in both quality and timeliness. He/She will take proactive measures to maintain equipment in optimal condition and verifies methods for their intended use, meticulously documenting all processes in accordance with quality system and accreditation requirements. Lastly, he/she should actively seeks opportunities to enhance skills and competencies, aligning with the needs of respective sections and following the development plan.



• Conduct the analysis according to the plan in order to meet TAT (turn around time).
• Perform data processing and result validation.
• Perform in house maintenance according to the schedule.
• Lead the root cause analysis for the respective method in-charge/instrumentation with the support from Team Member.
• Participate in audits and be main person responsible for closing gap with the support from team members.
• Act as Internal Auditor for the internal method audit.
• Main person responsible for reviewing the Technical documentation with the support from Team member.
• Liaising with vendor (equipment and analytical standard etc).
• Liaising internally for any enquiry or result follow up.
• Inventory management to ensure no disruption supply to analysis.
• Regularly perform 5S (housekeeping).
• In charge of the instrument Preventive Maintenance/Calibration where applicable.
• Involved in method validation/verification with the support from Chemist/Lab Manager where necessary.

Requirement :

1. Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food sciences, Analytical sciences
2. Experience in at least one key analytical technique
3. Experience in at least one contaminant analytical technique and knowledge of Quality System and Good Lab Practice
4. Working experience in analytical lab at least 2 years and above
5. Experience in ICPMS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) and heavy metal testing would be an added advantage
6. Candidate with ISO17025 accreditation would be beneficial
