Job summary

KPMG Services Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a capable audit professional to join our team. You will work in teams to develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and carry out audits per plan with thorough work papers.

The ideal candidate has a recognised degree in Accounting and professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CPA Australia or equivalent) and 2–4 years of experience handling listed client portfolios.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Accountancy and professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience handling a portfolio of listed clients.
• Understanding of business and risk management issues and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Working in teams to acquire an in-depth understanding of the client's business.
• Carrying out the audit based on audit planning and prepare appropriate audit work papers.
• Understanding the relationships between audit objectives, sufficiency of audit evidence, and presentation of conclusions.

Job description

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Working in teams to acquire an in-depth understanding of our client's business;
• Carrying out the audit based on audit planning, prepare appropriate audit work papers;
• Understanding the relationships between objectives of the audit sections, the need for the sufficiency of audit evidence, and presentation of the conclusions

The ideal candidate should have:

• A recognised degree in Accountancy and professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent
• Brings along 2 - 4 years of experience in handling a portfolio of listed clients
• A good understanding of pertinent business and risk management issues and familiarity with the relevant regulatory and reporting standards
• Good working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and SOX-404
• Experience in handling IPO engagements is greatly advantageous
• Excellent communications skills, strong analytical skills and excellent business acumen
• Demonstrates adaptability to fast-changing internal and external environments, and takes ownership of outcomes, with support from partners, managers, and the team
