Job summary

A leading company in the logistics sector seeks a Class 4 Truck Driver to manage the daily collection and delivery of airfreight shipments. Responsibilities include ensuring cargo safety, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in the logistics industry and a strong record of safe driving.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience in airfreight/logistics industry.
• Safe driving records.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.

Job description

• 5.5 days / Saturday Half Day

• Changi Depot

• Class 4 Driver License

Responsibilities:

• Drive the Company’s truck daily to collect and deliver airfreight shipments from and to our customers.

• Responsible for the safety of all cargoes in his custody

• Responsible for all documentation received by him from our customers and ensuring that such documents are properly handed over to the Export team or Import team upon arrival at the Airport warehouses.

• Assist in general packing or re-packing, re-enforcement, preparation, photo-taking and labelling of all cargoes for final tender to the Airlines’ ground handling terminal.

• Weighing and measuring export airfreight shipments.

• At all times ensure the wellbeing and cleanliness of the truck assigned to him.

• Responsible for forklifts and staff movement, and warehouse safety of all times.

• Support medical team on incoming inventory check and export packaging.

• Check the functionality and safety conditions of the vehicles and its components according to the vehicle dispatch control requirements such as brakes, lighting parts, tires trailer and spare wheels.

• Comply with corporate compliance of quality, environment, safety and health objectives.

• Comply with Airport police division’s RCAR security regulations.

• Operate forklifts whenever necessary.

• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Senior Supervisor or Operations Manager

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year experience in airfreight/logistics industry.

• Safe driving records.

• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
