Job summary

The General Paper Academy Pte. Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic Upper Secondary English tutor for both part-time and full-time roles in Singapore.

You will mentor students, shape their intellectual habits, and guide them toward academic and personal growth. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree and have a passion for teaching. You will design engaging lessons, provide feedback on essays and comprehension, and contribute to curriculum development while supporting students’ critical thinking

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience (part-time or full-time).
• Excellent command of English and argumentative writing skills.
• Ability to simplify complex ideas without losing depth.

Responsibilities

• Upper Secondary English Tutor: Teach Secondary English to Secondary students (O-Level syllabus).
• Design and deliver engaging, conceptually clear lessons.
• Guide students in essay writing and comprehension skills.
• Provide detailed, constructive feedback on student work.
• Mentor students in developing critical thinking and intellectual confidence.
• Contribute to curriculum development and teaching resources.
