A leading consultancy firm specializing in quantity surveying and cost management is looking for a Quantity Surveyor. This role involves overseeing financial and contractual aspects of construction projects to ensure they remain within budget. Key responsibilities include reviewing tender documents, measuring quantities, and coordinating project payments. Candidates should have a degree in Quantity Surveying and relevant experience in cost estimation and contract administration.

Qualifications

  • At least 4-5 years' experience in tendering, cost estimation, and quantity measurement.
  • Minimum 4 years of exposure in consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents and prepare subcontract award documentation.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, including VO, EOT, and Loss & Expense claims.

about the role

overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects to ensure they are delivered within budget and in compliance with contractual terms. Support the project team through cost control, contract administration, and value engineering to maximise efficiency and project value.

about the job

  • review tender documents and prepare subcontract award and contract start-up documentation.
  • measure quantities, source quotes, and issue subcontract agreements and work orders.
  • prepare and submit monthly progress claims, including VO, EOT, and Loss & Expense claims.
  • process subcontractor payments with proper verification, documentation, and approval.
  • track and coordinate variation orders with site, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • finalize accounts, submit required documents, and handle retention release and warranties.

knowledge and skills

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • at least 4-5 years' experience in tendering, cost estimation, and quantity measurement
  • strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • minimum 4 years of exposure in consultancy
