Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a System Engineer to assist in implementing and maintaining IT systems. You will perform routine maintenance, upgrades, incident resolution, and support new project setups to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes teamwork, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication in English, with opportunities to work across UNIX/Linux and Windows environments and participate in ISO audit preparation.

Qualifications

Diploma in Computer/IT required with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
Experience supporting UNIX/Linux platforms and databases for 2–3 years.
Training or certification in Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, VM, and ITIL is advantageous.
Analytical and proactive with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled routine maintenance to ensure system stability and performance.
Execute OS and application upgrades and patching to maintain security and functionality.
Respond promptly to system or service requests to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and resolve incidents, collaborating with external support when needed.
Identify root causes of recurring problems and implement preventive measures.
Prepare incident and problem reports for stakeholders in a timely manner.
Assist in preparing system documentation and ISO audit materials.
Participate in new projects by gathering requirements, setting up systems, testing and commissioning.
