Job summary

Tangspac Consulting Group is seeking a senior Unix/Linux systems administrator to lead the upkeep of enterprise RHEL environments, including production and UAT servers, upgrades, patching, and hardening.

You will develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, manage SAN storage, VMware ESXi integration, and ensure security with CyberArk while coordinating with network, security, and storage teams to deliver reliable infrastructure. Cloud familiarity with Azure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Unix/Linux system administration.
• Strong expertise in RHEL 7/8/9 (CentOS experience a plus).
• Proven experience with SAN storage administration and Brocade SAN switch configuration.
• Hands-on Ansible automation experience (playbooks, roles, Git-integrated workflows).
• VMware ESXi administration experience.
• Experience with CyberArk or similar privileged access management tools.
• Strong shell scripting skills (Bash).
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions (NetBackup, Veeam).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise RHEL servers across production and UAT.
• Perform offline in-place OS upgrades (e.g., Leapp) including pre-upgrade analysis and post-migration validation.
• Manage Linux patching and ensure ongoing patch compliance.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for configuration management and automation.
• Administer SAN storage infrastructure including LUN provisioning, zoning, firmware upgrades, and storage connectivity.
• Integrate VMware ESXi with storage and server provisioning workflows.
• Perform OS hardening per enterprise security standards.
• Maintain secure Linux systems using CyberArk and enforce access control policies.
• Manage backup operations using NetBackup or Veeam.
• Maintain version control of infrastructure automation scripts using Git.
• Support high-availability and disaster recovery initiatives, maintaining 99.9%+ system uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, database, security, storage) to ensure smooth infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer SAN storage infrastructure, including LUN provisioning, zoning, firmware upgrades, and storage connectivity (Brocade switches, EMC/IBM storage arrays)
• Integrate VMware ESXi with storage and server provisioning workflows
