Job summary

Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) is seeking a Counsellor to support student wellbeing within the University Counselling Centre. You will provide counselling for both undergraduate and graduate students, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and promote a campus-wide approach to mental health.

The role involves counselling assessments, crisis management support, staff consultations, and the development of wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master2 degree in counselling is required.
• SAC registration or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in counselling students or young adults is desirable.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional counselling for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Conduct risk and need assessments and deliver intervention plans.
• Prepare assessment reports and referrals to relevant services.
• Escalate crisis cases and provide consultation to staff on student wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per policy and procedures.
• Design and facilitate wellbeing training initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with schools, student services and residential teams to support students.
• Perform data collection and analysis to improve mental health services.
