An established industry player is seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide administrative and editorial support for a medical education journal. This role involves managing editorial workflows, coordinating research activities, and enhancing processes through AI and data analytics. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 6pm; Friday: 8.30am to 5.30pm
This role provides administrative and editorial support for an in-house medical education journal. It also supports research activities, including IRB applications, and manages scheduling and coordination of departmental operations. Candidates with AI or data analytics expertise are preferred to enhance research and administrative processes.
Job Scope:
Manage editorial workflows for the in-house journal, including manuscript submission, peer-review coordination, and publication timelines.
Liaise with authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure efficient communication and adherence to journal standards.
Support research projects by coordinating data collection and analysis, preparing grant and IRB applications, and maintaining research documentation.
Coordinate departmental scheduling, including meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Organize events such as editorial board meetings, research seminars, and academic workshops.
Provide general administrative support for departmental operations and maintain records related to journal, research, and IRB processes.
Apply AI or data analytics skills (if applicable) to improve editorial workflows, analyze research data, and support event planning.
Requirements:
A degree in education, social sciences, life sciences, communications, or a related field are preferred.
Strong communication skills for engaging with authors, researchers, reviewers, IRB members, and stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple timelines across publications, research, and events.
High attention to detail in editorial, research, and administrative tasks.
Proficient writing skills for preparing reports, correspondence, and documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively in team-based academic and administrative settings.
Effective time management to juggle competing deadlines and responsibilities.
Bonus: Skills in AI or data analytics (e.g., visualization, machine learning, statistics) to support data-driven improvements.
