Job summary

NIE invites applications for the position of Unit Head, Human Resource and Finance (HRF) in the Office for Research. You will lead a team overseeing HR, finance, administrative and research support, ensuring compliance and timely reporting. This is a contract post till 31 Mar 2028.

You will collaborate with NIE HRD and programme offices, manage faculty and research staff matters, and drive cross-functional improvements across shared services and governance across OfR and Research Centres.

Qualifications

• University degree required.
• 5–8 years of Administrative/HR/financial/procurement experience.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the OfR Human Resource and Finance team in all operations and processes.
• Provide supervision to team members and manage performance.
• Ensure internal controls and compliance with HR and financial policies.
• Oversee HR processes including faculty matters (appointment, reappointment, appraisal, promotion).
• Oversee financial operations related to research funding and reporting.
