Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, or related field with focus on ultrafast optics.
• Hands-on experience building, aligning, and troubleshooting mode-locked lasers and CPA systems.
• Proficiency with optical design and modeling software (Zemax, MATLAB, Python) and advanced optical diagnostic tools.
• Deep understanding of non-linear optics (SHG, THG), fiber or solid-state laser physics, and optomechanical design.

Responsibilities

• System Design: design, simulate, and assemble ultrafast laser cavities, amplifiers, and OPAs.
• Dispersion Control: implement and optimize pulse compression, dispersion compensation, and pulse diagnostics (FROG, SPIDER, autocorrelators).
• Prototype Testing: characterize laser performance including pulse duration, beam quality, pointing stability, and average power.
• Technology Transfer: bridge the gap between R&D and engineering to package sensitive optical setups into robust systems.
• Application R&D: conduct high-precision material interaction experiments to validate laser performance for targeted industry applications.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design: Design, simulate, and assemble ultrafast laser cavities, amplifiers, and optical parametric amplifiers (OPAs).
• Dispersion Control: Implement and optimize pulse compression, dispersion compensation, and pulse diagnostics (FROG, SPIDER, autocorrelators).
• Prototype Testing: Characterize laser performance including pulse duration, beam quality (M²), pointing stability, and average power.
• Technology Transfer: Bridge the gap between R&D and engineering to package sensitive optical setups into robust, commercial-grade systems.
• Application R&D: Conduct high-precision material interaction experiments to validate laser performance for targeted industry applications.

Required Qualifications
