Job summary

Mavericks Consulting invites motivated interns to join a cross-functional team in Singapore for a paid UX design internship of at least six months. Resumes must be PDF and a design portfolio with at least one case study is required.

You will craft user-centred designs, run workshops, and collaborate to deliver prototyped interfaces and design systems. Successful interns may continue into full-time roles as the team solves business problems with Agile practices and ships usable digital products.

Qualifications

• Experience creating visually appealing user-centred designs.
• Familiarity with interaction design, information architecture and design software (Invision, Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe CS).
• Experience with Agile & Lean practices.
• Strong attention to detail, aesthetics, and branding.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
• Experience conducting user research and usability studies.

Job Requirements

• This is a paid internship opportunity and is on the basis of full-time arrangements with a minimum period of 6 months
• Successful interns may continue on a full-time basis

• Resumes MUST be submitted in PDF format.
• Design portfolio MUST include at least 1 case study that includes a write-up of the project, the design process and screens of the final design

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Working as part of a cross-functional team to achieve organisational success through strategic digital products, services & processes
• Facilitating inception and UX design workshops to uncover needs and pain points
• Creating user-centred designs through iterative collaboration to achieve strategic brand goals and seamless user experience
• Continuously incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and findings from concept and usability tests into your product designs
• Delivering design artifacts including personas, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups for identified solutions
• Translating design requirements by providing style guides, design systems, design patterns and aesthetically attractive user interfaces
• Actively contributing to the company with your ideas and passion
• Creating and maintaining a dynamic and inclusive work environment

1. Minimum Qualifications

• Some experience with creating visually appealing user-centred designs
• Familiarity with interaction design, information architecture and proficiency in design software (e.g. Invision, Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience with Agile & Lean practices
• Strong attention to detail, an eye for aesthetics and a focus on strategic branding
• Strong communication skills and be able to clearly articulate ideas, designs, and suggestions to stakeholders
• Experience conducting user research using various suitable methods (e.g. user interviews, surveys, desk research)
• Experience in conducting concept and usability tests with proxy/end-users

2. Desirable Qualifications

• Experience collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and management teams to deliver the desired outcome of high value
• Prior experience in digital products / projects (Web & mobile)
• Knowledge of frontend development technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular)
• Experience facilitating design workshops for new or existing solutions
