Job description

We are seeking a creative and user-focused UI/UX Designer to join our team and shape the user experience for our cutting-edge Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Application. In this role, you will design intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing interfaces for our mobile and web platforms that empower users to locate, operate, and manage EV charging seamlessly. You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create a user-centered experience that simplifies complex interactions, enhances accessibility, and aligns with our mission to drive sustainable transportation. If you’re passionate about clean energy, innovative design, and crafting delightful user experiences, this is the perfect opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to understand the needs of EV drivers, fleet operators, and charging station providers.
  • Design user-friendly interfaces for the EV Charger Application, including features like charger location maps, real-time availability, payment systems, and charging status dashboards.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize intuitive navigation and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive design system that ensures consistency across mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible, optimized for performance, and responsive across devices.
  • Incorporate accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) to make the app inclusive for all users, including those with disabilities.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and A/B testing to optimize engagement and usability.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate features like real-time notifications, energy usage tracking, and smart charging schedules.
  • Stay updated on EV industry trends, UI/UX best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance the app’s functionality and user experience.
  • Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, clearly articulating design decisions and their impact on user satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio showcasing mobile and web application design projects.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and creating personas or journey maps.
  • Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design principles, as well as basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript for collaboration with developers.
  • Strong understanding of mobile-first design and cross-platform compatibility (iOS, Android, web).
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and present design rationale.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on user empathy and attention to detail.
