Job summary

NES Fircroft in Singapore is seeking an experienced Turnaround Planner to develop detailed planning steps, create execution-ready work packages, and coordinate with PMC, Asset Integrity & Reliability, Warehouse, Procurement, and contractors for successful turnarounds.

You will engage field execution teams during planning for seamless handovers, manage materials, sourcing, and invoicing, and drive the integrated Primavera/MS Projects schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of relevant refinery and petrochemical experience.
• Experience in turnaround planning and scheduling with MS Projects and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed planning steps incorporating safety and site requirements for Preventive and Corrective Maintenance during turnarounds.
• Develop complete turnaround work packages ready for execution.
• Coordinate with PMC, Asset Integrity & Reliability, Warehouse, Procurement, and contractors for turnaround work package preparations.
• Engage field execution counterpart during planning for efficient handover.
• Prepare materials or spare parts, create & release inventory PR, generate MR for stock items.
• Coordinate with Procurement to source non-stock materials and external services.
• Coordinate with PMC, contractors and vendors for the turnaround execution window.
• Prepare initial Invoice Proposal in Bio+ before turnaround and finalize invoicing on completion.
• Input and maintain job plan data in Primavera P6 to develop the integrated schedule.
• Develop SIMOPS plan to incorporate into the turnaround schedule.
• Report planning status, estimated completion dates, and preparation status to the turnaround team.
• Lead the scheduling process, compile the schedule basis, communicate status and provide analysis to management.
• Forecast turnaround progress and review results with project management.
• Prepare turnaround reports for KPI tracking.
• Create and update task lists and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Develop complete turnaround work packages ready for execution.
• Coordinate with PMC, Asset Integrity & Reliability team, Warehouse team, Procurement team and contractors or vendors for turnaround work package preparations.
• Engage field execution counterpart during planning stage, for efficient handover of turnaround work package.
• Develop detailed turnaround planning steps for work requests, prepare materials or spare parts required, create & release inventory PR, generate MR for stock items.
• Coordinate with the Procurement team to source for non-stock materials and external services, create PR upon alignment with PMC and field execution personnel.
• Coordinate with PMC, contractors and vendors for the turnaround execution window.
• Prepare and create initial Invoice Proposal in Bio+ before turnaround execution, and perform final Invoicing Allow upon job completion.
• Input and maintain the detailed job plan data, (job steps, logic, resources, etc.) into Primavera 6 to develop the turnaround integrated Schedule.
• Develop SIMOPS plan to be incorporated into the turnaround schedule.
• Report planning status, estimated completion dates and preparation status to the turnaround team.
• Leads and facilitates the scheduling process, compiles the basis of schedule, communicates the schedule status and provides the analysis to turnaround management.
• Calculates the turnaround progress, forecasts it and reviews the results with project management.
• Prepare turnaround reports for KPI tracking.
• Create and update task lists in the task library and contribute to continuous improvement for task lists accuracy.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• At least 5 years relevant experience in refinery and petrochemical in the same position for 3 years.
• Experienced in turnaround planning and scheduling, strong in scheduling tools – MS Projects, Primavera.
• Strong communication negotiation and business sense.
