OCBC Bank invites you to join as an intern in Treasury Financial Control & Advisory to deepen understanding of treasury products, accounting treatments, and financial system processes that support Global Markets activities.

You will collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Technology teams to support project implementation, resolve issues, and ensure accurate accounting for treasury products, gaining exposure to Fixed Income, FX, Interest Rate products, and Derivatives within a global

Qualifications

• Strong interest in accounting, treasury products, and financial markets.
• Analytical with good problem-solving abilities.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with treasury products and financial market concepts.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

Responsibilities

• Treasury Projects: participate in Global Markets and Treasury-related projects, supporting the implementation and enhancement of accounting processes and financial systems.
• Accounting Schema Support: assist in defining, testing, and rolling out accounting schemas for a wide range of treasury products, including Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate products, and Derivatives.
• Treasury Application Support: support day-to-day Treasury application activities by investigating issues, analysing root causes, and assisting with resolution efforts.
• Accounting Operations: assist in reviewing accounting entries and supporting manual accounting adjustment postings for Treasury products where required.
• Financial Analysis: analyse treasury transactions and accounting outcomes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting requirements.
• Process Improvement: identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance Treasury accounting processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to support project execution and business-as-usual activities.
• Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on Treasury accounting, system enhancements, and other strategic initiatives as assigned.
