Job summary

Airbus Singapore Private Limited is seeking a professional to join our Finance team as a regional collaborator supporting the VP Finance APAC. You will help drive objectives, performance measurement, and governance across Asia Pacific, working with multiple functions and cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Track Finance team objectives and performance to support VP Finance APAC.
  • Support VP Finance APAC to track and manage team objectives.

  • Create a change and communication plan for multicultural contexts.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Tracking of Finance team objectives & performance to support Vice President Finance APAC to drumbeat team activities
  • Support Vice President Finance APAC to track and manage team objectives & performance
  • Help to build up team spirit & culture
  • Prepares dossiers, documents, scorecards etc. for the management and/or other relevant bodies, ensuring that the information based on the data is understandable, updated, consistent, synthesized, available and archived.
  • Partner with stakeholders across various functions and countries to provide both consultative and transactional support to deliver a comprehensive and value-added service.
  • Create a change and communication plan by taking into account multifunctional and multi-cultural contexts
  • S/he will be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Drumbeat transversal projects
  • Identify regional transversal projects and track delivery / milestone etc
  • Work both independently on projects, from conception to completion, and in transversal teams; Act as regional Finance focal point for global wide Finance projects in close collaboration with central Finance
  • Identify improvement needs from different Finance functions / countries
  • Leads and sponsors activities to define, organize, control, improve, sustain and measure business performance and customer value; using performance management, quality methodologies and core tools, whilst fostering a continuous improvement mindset
  • Challenges existing solutions with new perspectives, framing customer value in a way that helps people focus on what matters
  • Ability to push for standard solutions, while taking into consideration specific needs
  • Provide personal assistance
  • Manage incoming information, enquiries, requests, down cascading or escalating and launching actions when appropriate
  • Draft documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations according to ad-hoc demands
  • Prioritize, update and chase delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines by putting preliminary work in play and keeping projects on schedule
  • Provide smooth communication between the Vice President Finance APAC, business, and Finance community; demonstrate leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff
  • Research, prioritize, and follow upon incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Finance organization, including those of sensitive or confidential nature
  • Act as a “barometer”, having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the Vice President Finance APAC updated
  • Ability to establish a working environment that encourages openness, trust and collaboration, in pursuit of delivering business excellence results (profitability and customer satisfaction) with all stakeholders (managers, employees, Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and local providers)
  • Assist in coordinating specific meeting attendance or attending on behalf of the Vice President
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accountancy, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Understanding of finance operations
  • Previous working experience in similar role(s) or in leadership position supporting management
  • Strong business or finance acumen with a solid understanding of strategic concepts
  • Ability to work autonomously and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective team player who takes full responsibility of own scope
  • Have a good understanding of various cultures across Asia to be able to liaise effectively with regional stakeholders
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and has a strong customer oriented mindset to provide professional Finance services to internal customers
  • Willingness to learn continuously
  • Good sense of business acumen and project management skill
