We are looking for an experienced Transportation Team Leader to join our team in our SE Asia office in Singapore. The role reports to the Transportation Manager and will be the point of escalation for the team, managing high volumes of inbound and outbound operations. This role will work closely with Material Planner, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Shipping
  • Leading a team responsible for all transportation operation activities.
  • Ensuring all shipments (FCL, LCL, Air, and Courier) from global suppliers meet delivery targets.
  • Leading resolutions for escalations from internal stakeholders regarding transportation issues.
  • Initiating performance reviews with freight forwarders.
  • Building partnerships with freight forwarders and shipping agents.
  • Auditing freight invoices randomly.
  • Maintaining master data trackers for shipment visibility.
  • Raising quotations and selecting freight forwarders for ad-hoc shipments.
  • Leading process improvement initiatives to enhance metrics.
Quality
  • Collaborating with the Quality team on claims related to damages or shipment discrepancies.
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE)
  • Working with HSE to investigate safety incidents and provide recommendations.
  • Performing regular site traffic safety audits.
Responsibilities

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supply chain logistics.
  • Experience managing high volumes of cargo flow.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, responsible, and analytical.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, and other relevant systems.
