A leading logistics company in Singapore seeks a Logistics Manager to oversee operations and ensure timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a minimum of 5 years of experience, including in a managerial position, and expertise in fleet management. Responsibilities include team management, operational analysis, and maintaining safety compliance. Fluency in English and Chinese is essential for effective communication.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead, coach and manage a team of delivery personnel, ensuring compliance with company rules and regulations.
Ensure smooth daily operation and timely delivery of goods.
Plan, organize and coordinate staff deployment and delivery activities across the group of companies.
Conduct thorough analyses of logistics activities to optimize cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Maintain metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance logistics systems and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries to customers.
Recruit, train, and supervise the delivery team, providing effective leadership and guidance.
Maintain and update route plans and provide monthly reporting of fleet management.
Conduct daily or weekly safety toolbox meetings to ensure the team follow SOP and adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Evaluate performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Monitor compliance with quality control and assurance standards for all areas of fleet management.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vehicle leasing companies and third-party service providers for long term business partnerships.
P&L Responsibility:Oversee the profit and loss performance of the entire transport department, ensuring cost control, efficiency, and financial sustainability.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Logistics management or related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong expertise in fleet management and operations.
Demonstrable leadership and staff management abilities.
Proficiency in standard logistics software.
Fluency in both English and Chinese to facilitate effective communication across all levels of staff.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Experience in handling the food products industry is a plus.
