Job summary

Job description

Training Officer (Vocational)

Support Senior Training Officers in providing life and work skills training for trainees in the programme. Support the team to improve trainees’ independence, work skills, and overall wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Support programme planning, implementation, and basic care duties such as looking after clients’ well-being.
  • Assist in research and development of Individual Training Plans (ITP).
  • Maintain and update ITP, training, and assessment records of trainees.
  • Ensure adherence to centre’s safety rules, work hazards, and training procedures.
  • Conduct regular housekeeping of training spaces and facilities.
  • Assist in training trainees, monitoring their progress, daily activities, and compliance with rules at onsite or offsite locations.
  • Participate in work process analysis and propose improvements to enhance trainees’ vocational skills, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Report any accidents or injuries to the Manager.
  • Accompany trainees to offsite functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum ITE Certification, preferably with at least 1 year of experience working with persons with disabilities. Experience in training and coaching is preferred.
  • Strong interest and experience in life and vocational skills training and/or coaching for adults with disabilities.
  • A self-motivated team player, adaptable, and capable of multitasking.
  • Good communication, people management skills, and technical ability.
  • Meticulous with strong observational skills.
