Job summary

Neste, a world-leading producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel, invites applications for a 12-month Trainee Technician programme at our Tuas refinery in Singapore. Selected trainees will undergo classroom and on-site training, progressing toward permanent technician roles with a focus on safe, reliable operation.

Graduates of Nitec or Diploma in engineering disciplines will be considered; male applicants must have completed National Service.

Qualifications

• Graduates from Nitec / Diploma from any engineering discipline.
• Male applicants must have completed National Service.
• Must not have worked in oil & gas or petrochemical industries within the last two years.
• Able to commit to a 1 year training program, consisting of classroom and on-the-job training.
• Willing to work 12 hrs rotating shift and comfortable working in an outdoor environment.
• Able to collaborate and communicate clearly and effectively within the operations team.
• Proactive learning, responsible, and positive attitude.
• Safety-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Comply to Life Saving Rules and apply Process Safety Fundamentals critical process.
• Undertakes the competency development program of the assigned field area to perform routine tasks under the guidance of a competent senior or peer.
• Proactively seeks for support from more experienced team members to drive their own learning.
• Able to perform routine tasks independently after completion of the competency development program in the assigned field area.
• Able to understand and apply Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) and prepare blinding plan for single equipment.

We are looking for you, Trainee Technicians

to our Refinery Operations Shift Team in Neste Tuas, Singapore. Selected applicants will undergo a comprehensive classroom and practical training programme for a fixed term contract of 12 months to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a Trainee Technician in the Neste Singapore refinery. Upon successful completion and passing of the training programme, you will be appointed as a permanent Trainee Technician to perform safe and reliable operation of the refinery.
