Job summary

Neste is hiring a Technician for the Refinery Operations Shift Team in Tuas South, Singapore. The role focuses on safe daily operations, plant maintenance and troubleshooting to meet production targets, working closely with Shift Supervisors to ensure reliable performance.

Responsibilities include monitoring processes, conducting field patrols, collecting samples and performing LOTO for maintenance. A health check and strong safety mindset are required.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Chemical Process Technology or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Minimal work experience is welcome; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Willingness to work in a 12-hour shift pattern and at Tuas South, Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and safe operations in the plant.
• Monitor process and safety, report non-conformities.
• Field patrolling to check emissions, soil and water impacts, and take preventive actions.
• Collect process samples per schedule.
• Execute LOTO for maintenance activities; work in confined spaces if required.
• Support PTW processes (Cold/Hot Work).
• Monitor equipment condition to maintain high availability.
• Be part of the Emergency Response Team and ensure housekeeping.

Your role in our team

• Ensure smooth and safe operations in the plant
• Work closely with Senior Technicians to monitor the process, safety and report non-conformity
• Field patrolling to monitor possible emissions to atmosphere, ground or waste water and implement preventive actions
• Collect process samples according to routine schedule
• Execute LOTO to equipment for maintenance activities
• Able to work in confine space environment if required
• Participate in the PTW issue process such as Cold Work and Hot Work permits
• Monitor the condition of process equipment and facilities to maintain high availability of equipment
• Member of the Emergency Response Team
• Maintain good housekeeping of the operating areas
