We offer an attachment to one of our childcare centres under mentorship. The trainee teacher will be coached through the apprentice program and will be able to assume the role of a Childcare Teacher upon course completion.

Entry job requirements:

  • Local Polytechnic Diploma with a GCE O level credit in English (EL1) or a minimum band 6.5 in IELTS (Academic); OR
  • Degree with English as the medium of instruction from a recognized university; OR
  • 5 GCE O'Level credits including a pass in English

Job responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise, and implement the programme for the class in accordance with the centre’s policies and framework.
  • Complete progress reports on children each semester and prepare developmental portfolios for each child.
  • Set up and create a stimulating, engaging, and pleasant learning environment that promotes self-directed learning.
  • Manage all aspects of classroom management and carry out routine care duties to ensure children's safety and hygiene.
  • Work closely with other teaching staff to carry out duties effectively.
  • Build and maintain close partnerships with parents.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High tolerance towards children is advantageous.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Upon completion of the course:

You will be awarded a Diploma in Early Childhood Education by recognized institutions and will be qualified to teach children aged 18 months to 6 years in Playgroup, Nursery, K1, and K2 classes.
