Role : Technical Specialist/Technician - SIE Smart Testing

Location : Singapore

Job Summary

The NPDI (New Product Development and Introduction) under MTO (Microfluidic Technology & Operation) is an organization working to develop new technology and deliver winning products to the marketplace. This team focuses on delivering technology and products by validating design robustness and reliability in systems. The team supports a diverse portfolio in print business segments including Home, Office, Large Format Design, and Large Format Production. The broad range of products offers opportunities to work on different technologies, explore various market segments, and develop careers.

The SIE team is seeking Technical Specialists to support product development through system-level testing in Singapore.

Years of Experience Needed

0-2 years

Technical Skills

• Conduct system interaction testing to meet or exceed customer expectations, guided by experienced engineers.
• Work with subject matter experts to define test requirements.
• Plan logistics and resources to meet program schedules.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and suggest solutions or workarounds.
• Compile test results and report to the program lead.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and inspectors.

Relevant Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.
• Effective project management skills.
• Basic knowledge of HP TIJ and ink supply systems.
• Comfortable setting up PCs and mobile OS, integrating with test hardware, software, and drivers.
• Basic programming skills in C++, C#, Visual Basic (advantageous).
• Experience with Oracle Database queries, ODBC, MS Query/SQL.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, JMP, CREO.

Certifications Needed

Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
