Roles & Responsibilities

ShaftRise Engineering & Services Pte Ltd is a service provider in marine and industrial repair and precision services. We are seeking a motivated individual to join us as a Mechanical Technician. This is a hands‑on learning opportunity where you will develop expertise in critical precision measurement and alignment techniques using advanced laser technologies. Under the guidance of senior technicians andors, you will learn how to ensure that industrial equipment and structures meet precise dimensional specifications and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities (Training Provided)
  • Assist in Dimensional Control Surveys: Support senior surveyors in performing dimensional control surveys, fit‑up inspections, and as‑built surveys on various structures and components (e.g., steel structures, modules, piping).
  • Learn Laser Alignment: Be trained to use advanced laser alignment systems (e.g., Fluke, Pruftechnik) for the precision alignment of rotating machinery (pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
  • 3D Data Collection & Analysis: Learn to accurately collect, record, and process survey and alignment data using specialised software (e.g., CAD, 3D software).
  • Documentation & Reporting: Assist in preparing detailed reports, drawings, and documentation of survey and alignment results for client submission.
  • Equipment Handling: Learn proper handling, calibration, and maintenance of precision measuring equipment.
  • Safetyly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working in industrial and marine environments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with experienced engineers and construction teams to understand project requirements and provide effective support.

  • Education: Any related technical field is preferred.
  • Attitude: Must have a strong willingness to learn, a keen eye for detail, and a problem‑solving mindset.
  • Skills: Basic aptitude for mathematics and an interest in precision tools and technology.
