Job Purpose

Perform functions in the Operations Control Centre:

  • Train Service Controller (Train Control): Assist the Chief Controller to perform train service regulation according to operating procedures and safely.
  • Train Service Controller (Station Control): Assist the Chief Controller to coordinate with station staff to provide accurate information and instructions to commuters, and manage track access during Non-Traffic Hours.
  • Train Service Controller (Depot Control): Assist the Chief Controller to coordinate with Depot Operations Centre for train movements and track access within the depot.

Responsibilities

3.1 Train Service Controller (Train Control)
  • Manage main functions of OCC: train service regulation, incident handling, information dissemination, and track access management.
  • Ensure train service delivery is safe and reliable, regulate revenue train service, and respond to incidents effectively.
3.2 Train Service Controller (Stations Control)
  • Disseminate information during delays or disruptions; manage track access during non-traffic hours.
  • Monitor station operations and assist with urgent fault reporting and inquiries.
3.3 Train Service Controller (Depot Control)
  • Oversee daily depot operations, including train preparation, dispatch, withdrawal, and maintenance coordination.
  • Report faults and liaise with Depot Ops Centre for track access and train servicing.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Diploma in any discipline, preferably with an engineering background, or other qualifications with over 3 years of railway experience.

Skills

  • Ability to work under stress and make safe decisions during incidents.
  • Proficient in operating computer systems.
