About SK Energy International (SKEI)

SKEI markets and trades crude oil and petroleum products. The company was incorporated in 1990 and is based in Singapore. SK energy international operates as a subsidiary of SK trading international.

Job Profile

The Trading Analyst will be a member in Crude Oil Trading Book, one of the trading books in Singapore, reporting to the department head and supporting SK’s commodities trading business. This role supports the front-office trading team with real-time analytics, market intelligence, and data-driven insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Construct and maintain databases for key crude oil statistics, derive key trends, and convert these observations into insightful notes. Prepare analytical reports in a timely, relevant, and thought-provoking manner
  • Monitor global crude oil markets, including supply/demand fundamentals, geopolitical developments
  • Develop and update analytical models (e.g., arbitrage models, refinery yield/margin models, freight economics)
  • Track cargo flows, shipping movements, and inventory levels
  • Assist and work closely with traders with market intelligence and short-term trading strategies
  • Analyze pricing structures (e.g., spreads, benchmarks, differentials) and provide actionable insights
  • Compile and present market reports to internal stakeholders

Candidate Profile

A self-motivated individual who value integrity, have willing brain engagement in going the extra miles to provide excellent and create happiness and values to stakeholders. A strong candidate should possess the following:

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant qualifications with strong mathematical inclination
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant trading experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills to assimilate complex and ambiguous data to identify key issues and aid in decision making
  • Strong knowledge of oil markets, trading instruments, and physical logistics
  • Strong communication skills; able to summarize complex findings concisely and to convey complex ideas clearly
  • Comfortable working under pressure and dynamic trading environment
  • Strongly knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • A highly motivated and organized individual who exhibits strong integrity, work ethics and ability to perform under pressure

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications & experience.
