• Provide commercial support for the desk activities.
• Assist in managing the desk or book’s position and pricing.
• Coordinate with the operations team for physical movement of crude and products.
• Ensure timely booking of trades and maintenance of trade blotters.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide commercial support for the activities of the desk. This may include:

• Production of analysis or working with the desk analyst team to provide information which supports decision making.
• Assisting traders and senior traders in managing the desk or book’s position and pricing, and assist in managing the flows from assets.
• Coordination with the operations team to manage physical movement of crude and products
• Coordinate with the Global team to provide prompt updates on values and movement so to facilitate arb flow.
• Ensuring the timely booking of trades and maintenance of trade blotters.
• Involvement in structured projects to develop Glencore’s business.
• Coordinating activity with trader assistants in other offices to ensure a transparent and timely flow of data and reporting.

- In certain circumstances execute trades under the direct supervision and instruction of a more senior trader. This execution would be for and on behalf of a book of risk managed by the other trader

- Set high standards of conduct, compliance, ethics, risk management and control. Promote adherence to Glencore’s policies and procedures.
