What you07ll do

As a Trade Reporting Associate, you will play an integral role in ensuring the seamless execution of regulatory reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Your day-to-day activities will involve close coordination with various departments to ensure accurate submission of data for Over-the-Counter Derivatives transactions. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date documentation of operational processes while proactively identifying areas for process enhancement. By preparing regular status updates on remediation efforts and escalating potential issues promptly, you will help safeguard the organisation compliance excellence. Your involvement in system upgrades, audit support, and cross-team collaboration will provide you with valuable exposure to both operational best practices and strategic project work. Success in this position requires meticulous attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a genuine interest in driving continuous improvement within a supportive team environment.

  • Ensure all regulatory reporting business-as-usual activities and project deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required deadlines for MAS and HKMA jurisdictions.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain comprehensive documentation for operational processes related to trade reporting.
  • Participate actively in risk control self-assessment (RCSA), end-user computing (EUC), and incident reporting activities to uphold robust internal controls.
  • Collaborate closely with Middle Office, Front Office Operations, and IT teams to identify, remediate, and resolve issues impacting regulatory submissions.
  • Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly status reports tracking progress on regulatory remediation items and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding trades.
  • Escalate any issues or red flags that could result in late or incorrect regulatory submissions to senior management for prompt action and remediation.
  • Contribute to IT system enhancements by participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) for regulatory reporting systems and supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audits by participating in audit reviews, addressing findings, and implementing remediation plans as required.
  • Engage in continuous process optimisation efforts aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the trade reporting function.

Your background should include hands-on familiarity with MAS/HKMA frameworks as well as practical exposure to OTC derivative products.   • A minimum of 3 years experience in banking or financial sector operations with a focus on transaction regulatory reporting is essential for success in this role.
  • A solid understanding of MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) and HKMA (Hong Kong Monetary Authority) trade and transaction reporting requirements is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OTC Derivatives including FX, Interest Rate Linear/Non-Linear trades, Credit Derivatives, and Equity Derivatives is important for handling complex transactions.
  • A high level of control awareness coupled with exceptional attention to detail ensures quality output under tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to clearly articulate issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities enable you to collaborate effectively within teams as well as build rapport across departments inside and outside Operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level is required; intermediate VBA/Macros skills are expected while Python proficiency is considered an advantage.
  • Interest or experience in data analysis, process automation, big data solutions or non-technical process efficiencies would further enhance your contribution.
