Job summary

RMA Contracts Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Trade Management professional to oversee the trade lifecycle within the Asset Management operations team. You will interact with traders, portfolio managers and other operations to ensure accurate trade confirmation and settlement across multiple markets.

Responsibilities include supporting regulatory requirements, providing desk-level support, and reviewing processes to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in finance, preferably trade settlement or trade confirmation.
• Experience from an operational perspective in equities, futures preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Trade Management team sits within the Investment Operations department of the Asset Management business and has primary responsibility of all aspects of the trade lifecycle activity in Asia. This function covers a wide range of clients and a complex product range, including equities, fixed income, currency, derivatives and alternative investments. This team has extensive interaction with traders, portfolio managers and other operational teams globally to ensure effective oversight and risk management of existing business activity whilst working to shape and implement solutions for new clients, products, strategies, and system architecture.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Holistic ownership and understanding of trading related activities from an Asset Management Operations perspective.


• Support industry and regulatory requirements related to trade confirmation and settlement


• Trade confirmation and settlement across markets and products in line with internal and external cut offs


• Trading desk support to include ad-hoc queries as well as ongoing business initiatives


• Review existing processes to identify inefficiencies within the flows and work with management to drive process changes


• Build and maintain relationships with the trading desks and other operation teams internally as well as brokers, custodians and vendors externally

BASIC QULIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in finance, preferably trade settlement, trade confirmation, but other types of experience are also possible to consider.


• Experience from an operational perspective in one or more of the following products very much preferred – Equities, Futures primarily but other product knowledge is also welcome.


• Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability.
