Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the issuance of import LCs and process import collections, ensuring timely acceptances and payments.
  • Manage import and export loans, including roll-overs, payments, and handling past due loans.
  • Handle export collections and advise on export LCs, including confirmation, negotiation, acceptance, discounting, and reimbursement claims.
  • Administer various types of guarantees, such as shipping guarantees, bid and performance bonds, and drawee risks.
  • Record and register receipt of trade documents accurately and promptly.
  • Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks on all trade finance transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Input trade finance transactions into the system and generate entries, ensuring accurate customer advice and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years OR internship experience in trade finance operations role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, capable of interpreting and verifying complex trade finance documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and provide exceptional client service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with trade finance systems and platforms is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
