Key Responsibilities:
• Handle full spectrum of trade finance operations, including issuance and negotiation of Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees, and Bills of Exchange.
• Liaise with banks, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely processing of trade finance instruments.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all trade documents with UCP 600, ISBP, and other international trade regulations.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring proper reconciliation and follow-up on discrepancies.
• Coordinate closely with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to align financial documentation with shipment schedules.
• Prepare reports on trade finance activities, bank facilities utilization, and forecast of funding needs.
• Support internal and external audits related to trade finance and banking transactions.
• Maintain updated knowledge on international trade regulations, sanctions, and banking practices.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trade finance operations, preferably in commodities or steel trading.
• Strong knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, and SWIFT messaging.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Meticulous, well-organized, and capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams and external partners.
