A reputable commodity trading firm is seeking a detail-oriented Trade Finance Executive. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing trade contracts, overseeing Letters of Credit, and managing daily transactions while collaborating with internal teams and maintaining relationships with banks. Ideal candidates should possess a degree in finance or accounting and have substantial trade finance knowledge.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of the Trade Finance market and instruments

Responsibilities

• Review trade contracts and ensure compliance with trade finance documentation
• Oversee preparation and negotiation of Letters of Credit
• Manage daily trade transactions including receivables and payables

Job description

We are looking for a meticulous individual with strong numerical skills to join a reputable commodity trading firm as a Trade Finance Executive. The ideal candidate should be well conversant in trade finance instruments and UCP600.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review trade contracts and ensure full compliance with trade finance documentation
• Oversee the preparation and negotiation of Letters of Credit (LC)
• Manage daily trade transactions, including both receivables and payables
• Collaborate with the Operations and Treasury teams to ensure accurate trade information and maintain up-to-date records for month-end closing
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with banks and counterparties
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of Trade Finance market and instruments
• Knowledge of UCP600
